The survey highlights the nursing workforce management tools and technologies nurse leaders are implementing to address nurse shortages, scheduling issues and retention challenges.
Key findings:
- Eighty-one percent of nurse leaders are moderately to extremely involved in their facility’s strategic mission.
- The top three challenges facing nurse leaders are recruitment and retention, staff burnout, and labor shortages.
- Seventy-two percent of nurse leaders experience burnout sometimes, often, or always.
- Thirty-one percent of nurse leaders plan to change positions in the next year.
- The three most useful workforce management and support tools are telehealth, medical interpreter services, and recruitment process outsourcing (RPO)
