Giving Back in Guatemala
Since 2017, AMN Healthcare has partnered with The International Esperanza Project on the annual medical and community development mission to the highlands of Guatemala. Each year we've worked to provide the impoverished indigenous population with integrated healthcare including critical surgeries, along with the installation of safety stoves and water purification systems in homes.

About Our Partner
Founded in 2017, the International Esperanza Project is a non-profit organization inspiring hope in developing countries through healthcare and community development projects.
- Impacting Homes - Ensuring families have healthier living environments as a foundation for a better quality of life.
- Impacting Health - Providing vital healthcare services and supporting healthy living.
- Impacting Education - Building quality learning environments and engaging people in learning.
How We've Helped
Through our partnership with IEP, we bring essential healthcare to rural Guatemala, where hundreds of clinical volunteers donate their time and resources to provide life-changing medical services to those without access. Our humanitarian missions deliver critical care and enhance our clinicians' skills through work in resource-limited settings. As Team Hope, we further improve community health by funding clean cooking stoves and water filters that reduce respiratory illnesses and waterborne diseases while giving women back valuable time previously spent gathering wood, creating lasting health improvements and socioeconomic benefits for entire communities.
