Interpreter Qualifications
Sign Language Interpreters
  • National certification (NAD Level 4+, RID CSC, RID CDI, CI/CT, NIC, BEI Advanced)
  • 2+ years of interpreting experience
  • Knowledge of state laws and the ADA
  • Strong understanding of NAD/RID Code of Conduct and Deaf Culture
Spoken Language Interpreters
  • Fluency in English and target language
  • 6+ months of experience or 40+ hours of training
  • National medical interpreter certification or proficiency
  • Knowledge of Medical Interpreter Ethics and Standards
